Started in 1932 under the Direction of Victor Gerber, the Orrville Community Chorus has performed Handel's Messiah since that time. This year will be our 66th annual performance.

Contributions are used for performance costs and towards the Victor Gerber Memorial Music Scholarship Fund. The Scholarship is awarded each year to Wayne County High School Seniors who will be studying Music in their college careers.

2010 Messiah Performance: Dec. 5, 7 pm at Central Christian School

We will be performing again this year in the Performance Hall at the Central Christian High School, on the north side of Kidron at 3970 Kidron Road, Kidron, Ohio. Map is located here.  Performance is Sunday, December 5, 2010, at 7pm.

Rehearsal schedule is being worked out, but we will probably meet again for one or two weeks at Kidron Mennonite and the rest of the rehearsals will be at Central Christian School.  Schedule below will be updated when we confirm the details.

Schedule for rehearsals (tentative) - from 2 to 3:30pm

1. Oct. 31, Nov. 7, 14, 21, 28 at either Kidron Mennonite or at Central Christian High School
   

2. Dress Rehearsal December 4 (9 - 11:30am) at Central
   

3. Performance December 5, 2010 - 4pm warmup, 7pm performance
   

Rehearsals begin promptly at 2pm, so arrive early to get situated. Scores are available for purchase at a reasonable cost at rehearsals.
